Students are given a weekly lesson private lesson where they will be focusing on their progression of classical study through the use of technique, music theory, musical artistry, music history and ear training.
Lessons include:
- Weekly private lessons are 45 or 60 minutes depending on level & need
- 36 lessons throughout the school year (September-May)
- Summer lessons are required: Student must sign up for a combination of 4 lessons + workshop or 6 lessons, depending on what is offered that summer.
- 15 minutes of the lesson, either at the beginning or end, will overlap with the next student. The student will use this time to complete a weekly music theory assignment or other supplemental assignment or activity such as sight reading or music history. This time may also be used to learn a duet with the overlapping student, if levels permit.
- 6-7 monthly group or performance classes throughout the school year, which will replace private lessons for that week. We use this time to focus on other musical aspects and to give the students a chance to be a part of a "team" of other students. I have found this very helpful to motivate students to continue their study because they have others to work with and motivate each other, much like they would on a sports team or dance class, rather than it being such an independent extra curricular. We always have a great time at group class!
- Participation in CCMTA's Music Artistry Program
- Participation in our Spring Recital
- Piano camp or mini workshops in the summer
Monthly Tuition Rates:
- $125.00/month (45 minute lesson), $177.50/month (60 minute lesson)
- Monthly tuition rates are calculated based on 36 lessons during Sept- May, as well as the summer requirement. This takes into account school/national holidays, studio breaks, and a week at the end of the school term for those who have a make up lesson credited to their account. Tuition is a set monthly amount and does not change month to month depending on how many weeks are in the month.
